Signal

Live RSSI timeline chart with reference lines, link metadata (SSID, BSSID, channel, band, link speed), background sampling with a persistent notification, and configurable sampling intervals.

Channels

AP scan across 2.4 / 5 / 6 GHz with bars, grid, and spectrum views. Filter by band, security, or SSID search. Tap any channel to see overlapping APs. Scan history with batch comparison.

Log

Roaming events recorded when your device switches BSSIDs. Survey points with labels, RSSI, timestamp, and optional notes. Export as plain text or CSV for Excel or team sharing.

RSSI Timeline

Scrollable chart sampling signal strength every few seconds while Signal tab is open. Reference lines at −50 / −60 / −70 dBm.

Channel Spectrum

Visual frequency-domain view per channel showing signal overlap and interference at a glance.

AP Scan

Discover nearby APs with SSID, BSSID, RSSI, channel, band, security type, Wi-Fi standard (802.11n/ac/ax/be), and estimated distance.

Channel Advisor

Recommended least-congested channel for 2.4 GHz (non-overlapping 1/6/11), 5 GHz, and 6 GHz after each scan.

Scan History

Every scan batch is saved. Compare two batches side by side to track APs that appeared, disappeared, or changed signal strength.

Roaming Log

Automatic log entry whenever your device switches BSSIDs—timestamped with source and destination MAC addresses.

Survey Points

Record a labeled signal snapshot by room or location. Build a coverage map by walking your space and noting weak spots.

CSV & Text Export

Share a plain-text report or structured CSV of RSSI samples, scan results, roaming events, and survey points via Android share sheet.

Home Widget

Glanceable RSSI and channel tile on your home screen. Updates automatically while connected to Wi-Fi.

RSSI shown in dBm with Excellent / Good / Fair / Poor rating and colour-coded signal bar.
Scrollable RSSI timeline chart with reference lines at −50, −60, and −70 dBm.
SSID, BSSID, channel, band (2.4 / 5 / 6 GHz), and link speed in one view.
Background logging option keeps sampling RSSI with a low-priority notification.
Sampling interval configurable in Settings (every N seconds).

Channels tab

Map the airspace around you

Scan-driven view of every AP in range, with tools to find the quietest channel for your router.

Android rate-limits scans to roughly 4 per 2 minutes—tap Scan and wait a moment for results.
Filter the AP list by band (2.4 / 5 / 6 GHz), security (open / secured), or SSID keyword search.
Switch between Bars, Grid, and Spectrum views to see occupancy from different angles.
Tap any channel in the grid to filter the AP list and see all overlapping networks.
Scan batches are saved automatically; open Scan History to compare two batches.

Log tab

Survey, roam, export

Persistent records that stay on device until you choose to share or delete them.

Survey points save SSID, BSSID, RSSI, channel, timestamp, and an optional text note.
Export CSV opens the system share sheet—paste into Excel or send to your team.
Roaming events record source BSSID → destination BSSID with timestamps automatically.
Plain-text report includes current link, RSSI samples, last scan, and all survey points.

Background

Background Sampling

Keep logging RSSI when the app is backgrounded. A low-priority notification shows the current signal level.

Accuracy

About this app

Wi-Fi Analyzer reads what the Android Wi-Fi API reports. Scan frequency is rate-limited by the OS to roughly 4 scans per 2 minutes. This is not a hardware spectrum analyzer—RSSI values reflect what the radio driver exposes, which may differ from a dedicated instrument.
